Amsterdam, bars restaurant & club guide > Clubs in Amsterdam
The dance scene in Amsterdam is world famous, so expect to spend some euros in Amsterdam clubs, as drinks and entrance prices are not cheap. Also, if you want to go to some of the trendiest clubs with the beautiful people, make sure you look like you have money, are beautiful, or both. Though the scene may be elitist and expensive, Amsterdam draws some of the best, world-renowned DJs, making it well worth the money and the time it takes to doll yourself up. The scene can be wild and some clubs have come to occupy the most unlikely of places such as former churches, old cinema buildings, a fishing boat and former Olympic stadium to name just a few. The Southern Canal Belt is the place to be when looking for the most clubs per capita. You boogie down to all sorts of danceable beats from funk to indie, electro to Northern Soul and everything in between. Try out the Club 11 with amazing views of the city or Rain which has a nice outdoor terrace. There are also many rock, jazz and blues clubs dotting the Old City worth checking out.
